Lucy Pargeter Shares Surgery Horrors Beyond Emmerdale Lucy Pargeter, who plays Chas Dingle in Emmerdale, has had quite the bumpy ride in real life. Let us tell you that the actress has been on the show since 2002. And her character is currently tackling a breast cancer storyline, mirroring her own real-life struggles.
Lucy welcomed her first child, Lola, in 2005, but her journey to expand her family was challenging. For 11 long years, the Emmerdale actress and her partner Rudi tried to conceive another baby with no luck. So, they turned to IVF and were finally blessed with twins, Missy and Betsy.
But life threw another curveball at Lucy in 2019 when she and Rudi split. The actress expressed her fear of being a single mom and never finding love again. But guess what? Lucy has found love again! The Emmerdale cast revealed, “I’m in a new relationship now. Exclusive. Don’t say anything.”
While talking about the phase when she was looking for a partner, Lucy said, “I was thinking, ‘Oh my god, the first thing I’m going to have to say is I’ve got no t*ts. I used to have t*ts, so imagine me with t*ts, but now I’ve got no t*ts’.” She opened up about her brave decision to remove her breast implants.
It was a massive step for the Emmerdale actress, especially because they were causing her breathing problems. The soap star said, “Out they are! I’m flat as a pancake now but feeling great!” Additionally, Lucy discussed that before entering the soap world, she was in a pop group called Paperdolls and even toured with Boyzone in the ’90s.
